Posh Chalk Crackling Paste is a two-part system that creates a beautifully aged, worn, and weathered crackle finish on any surface. Each crack is unique in size and shape, giving a wonderfully natural, organic feel — apply to specific areas for a focal point, or across the whole piece for a fully weathered look.

• Two-component system: Crackling Gel (Step 1) + Crackling Paste (Step 2)
• Creates a matte crackle finish with a natural, organic feel
• Crack size is controlled by the thickness of the Paste coat — thicker = larger cracks
• Finish is transparent — rub a coloured paste or patina into the cracks and wipe back to reveal colour
• Colour the paste before application using Posh Chalk Colour Kicks for a tinted crackle finish
• Apply to specific areas or across the whole piece for varied effects
• Ideal for furniture, décor, frames, and mixed media projects

How to use:

Step 1 — Crackling Gel: Apply generously to a non-absorbent base (primed or painted surface). Leave to dry naturally or dry gently with a hair dryer or heat gun.

Step 2 — Crackling Paste: Once the Crackling Gel is fully dry, apply the Crackling Paste over the top. The paste will begin to crack as it dries. Rub a coloured paste or patina into the cracks and wipe back for a colourful, weathered finish.
